DAT Learns for Israel

The DAT HS student body is proud to be extremely supportive of Medinat Israel (the state of Israel). All four of our 2014 graduates are currently spending the year learning in Israel. One of them is even planning on moving to the country this coming summer.

Over the past few months, we have felt an especially strong connection to our brothers and sisters in Israel as they face daily struggles of terror.

In light of recent events we decided to brainstorm some ideas to support Israel through these difficult times.

After discussing many different options, we decided to start a learning initiative in honor of Medinat Israel and the people of Israel.

If you would like to sign up for daily halachot texts in honor of those who have died in terrorist attacks please text @datd to 303-951-4822.

We will be using our Facebook page called "DAT Learns for Israel" to strengthen our connection with Hashem, and to support the people and the land of Israel.

We will also be starting a Divrei Torah initiative. The first D'var Torah is about this week's parsha's connection to media bias. You can read it here. Please check back each week as we publish more Divrei Torah in honor of Israel.

Thank you for supporting us as we learn in honor of our country, Medinat Israel.

Shabbat Shalom!
